is to provide a variety of services for people of all ages and ability levels including individual and group Recreational Therapy, Parenting Education, Therapeutic Recreation Activities and Training and Educational Services consisting of Integrated Play Groups (IPG), Circle of Parents (CoP), outdoor adventure, service learning, and other groups focusing on communication skills and socialization, cooperation & teamwork, coping skills, parenting education, character education, acceptance of others/anti-bullying, etc. at a time and location that is convenient to parents and participants (including after school and during the summer).
is to move to a "home base" (maybe a house with a decent sized yard) in New Bern, in a fairly well traveled area, so we can have an office and a place to do groups and hold meetings, etc. in an easily accessible environment that people feel comfortable in.
is to be financially stable enough to provide the programs and services the will meet the needs of people and families in our communities throughout Eastern North Carolina.
is to spread the word about Creekside RTS (Marketing) through the website, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, the blog, newsletters, email newsletters, brochures, flyers, events, health and wellness fairs, festivals and anywhere else we can share how we help meet the needs of people in our community.
is to be permanently located in a camp setting in Eastern North Carolina and have the land and natural resources available to provide more services and meet more needs. These may include opportunities for people to get out in Creation and learn about themselves, each other, the world, and their effect on it. Through the use of Adventure Based Therapy, Experiential Education, ropes courses (with both high and low elements), water (including creeks and other bodies of water) and Eastern North Carolina's natural areas (forests, creeks, etc.) Creekside Recreational Therapy Services will be able to provide quality Recreational Therapy and other services including family weekend retreats as well as additional activities for individuals, groups, families, youth groups and others.
